pick it up

What does "pick it up" mean?

  • learn it; get a new skill
  • a recent, popular movie in America
  • As a native speaker of English and a person who really digs languages, I think that the coining of words is so cool. What is coining? That is when you make up a word and use it for the first time. I am pretty sure that Justin Timberlake coined this word, which is a combination of the words "stalker" and "paparazzi". A member of the stalkerazzi is a photographer, who follows you around like a stalker. I've never heard it before. Very clever!

Practice: pick it up
