So many movies, so little time! This conversation is about a movie that nobody saw, except for Chris’ brother, who rented it. Chris was just a little too busy to sit down and watch a movie so he dissed his brother and went ahead with his own plans.

Chris: So, my brother went out last night to the video store and rented Jersey Girl.
Steph: Oh. Are you talking about that Ben Afleck movie? The one with J-Lo in it?
Chris: Yep. That’s the one.
Steph: Oh? How was it?
Chris: Well. The thing is, I didn’t get a chance to see it. I had something to do.
Steph: Something to do? Really? I mean, your brother goes out and rents a movie for you. What did you have to do that was so important that you missed the movie?
Chris: Well, he didn’t rent it for me. He just rented it. And I had previous plans. So, I had to go. I couldn’t stick around.
Steph: Oh, that’s too bad. Did you see him later? Was the movie good?
Chris: I saw him later. He seemed happy. He seemed like he enjoyed it. I mean, I didn’t get a chance to ask him how it was. But, he wasn’t, like, upset roaming around the house, going ‘I hated that movie’. So I guess it was all right.
Steph: Well, all right. I mean, as long as he’s not cursing it then it’s no problem right?
Chris: That’s what I say.

So, I decided to check out a review to get the low down on the J-Lo movie. Here’s the scoop. Ben Affleck’s character is a successful, married man with a child on the way. His life changes overnight when he loses his wife and his job and suddenly becomes a single father. Poor guy! I bet this is one of those movies that makes you feel good about your life ‘cause it’s not as bad as that poor sap’s life is.
