Happy Eid to all Muslims all over the world!
September 7, 2013
Hi everybody, I hope you are all fine, a while ago a friend of mine asked me a riddle, however it was a little hard for me, I managed to solve it at last after allocating a great deal of time to it. Here is the riddle "we have three baskets, one of them contains apple, the other orange and the last one both orange and apple(a mixture of both). The baskets have three tags(orange, apple and mix) that were stuck on them wrongly, that is,the basket with orange tag dosn't contain orange and the other two baskets have wrong tags as well, at least with how many picking a fruit up without looking into the baskets we can find out which basket contains which fruit(one of the baskets has both fruits) and why?"

Nowadays the use of insulting words has become more widespread than ever and probably more extensive among teenagers. It mainly includes verbal, facial expression and physical insult. They think that it will make them feel better if they put someone else down, or they insult the other person to take attention off of themselves. Sometimes people who are angry insult other people, because they are not mature enough to think of a better way to handle their anger other than trying to start a fight or trying to make the other person feel bad. The reactions of people toward being insulted are different and it depends on ourselves if we can cope with it or not, it is likely that they emit wrong responses in reaction to insult, the following responses are some of the examples: Anger is the weakest possible response, because first of all it shows that we take the insult, and therefore the insulter, seriously. On top of that, it suggests that there is truth in the insult. Returning the insult is another example, it is not wise to respond insult with insult back, because it tends to equalize us with our insulter, raising him up to our level and bringing us down to his. Unlike the above-mentioned options, there are some appropriate reactions on the part of clever people, humor is one of them which is very effective, due to several reasons, first it undermines the insult, secondly it brings the audience on our side, and finally it diffuses the tension of the situation. Ultimately the best way of dealing with being insulted is ignoring it, since it shows we don’t take the insult at all. In conclusion, we need never take offense at an insult. Offense exists not in the insult but in our reaction to it, and our reactions are completely within our control. It is unreasonable to expect a boor to be anything but a boor; if we take offense at his bad behavior, we have only ourselves to blame.
