Lesson
Hey guys,
How's everything? I hope you checked out my free PDF Ebook for spoken English. I send a few cool ones by email for fun.
Anyway, on with today's lesson:
This is a word and it's a good one. When I speak with non native speakers, which happens a lot, I notice which words I never hear but I know I should. I want to teach those words because I'm sure that you need them sometimes.
The word is "hypocrite"
It is an adjective to describe a person. To be honest, no one is perfect and we're can all be a hypocrite sometimes. But anyway, it's a very bad thing.
A "hypocrite" is a person who basically complains about the behavior of someone else but they don't realize that they actually have the same bad habits.
A hypocrite is a father who smokes telling his son to quit smoking.
A hypocrite is a boss yelling at someone for coming into work late when he often comes in late himself.
You get the idea. Remember this powerful word and use it when the time is right.
Example sentence: "He is such a hypocrite".
I've been making a course for useful words and phrases and I really thank everyone for the likes and comments. I'll be back here tomorrow.
Here is the lesson from yesterday's English speaking course in case you missed it.
