Hi Friends!
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have been all over the news for the past couple of days, but that’s nothing new. Their relationship has sparked the interest of people all over the world since they first started dating last year. For some reason, people want to know what’s going on with Ben and J.Lo – and they never get bored with the subject.
Beth and John recently discussed the status of Ben and Jen’s relationship. Listen in to hear what they about the recent developments.

John

Beth: So John, what do you make of all this hype about Ben and Jen breaking up?

John: You mean Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez?

Beth: Oh, excuse me. Yes.

John: Well I’m not really on first name terms with them yet, but… I don’t know. I don’t know if they’ve really broken up. They were supposed to get married this weekend and I know that got postponed, but does that mean their relationship is over?

Beth: I don’t know. It’s just hard to tell because there’s so much information out there and half the time I find myself wondering why I even care about it.

John: Why do we care about these celebrities and their, their personal lives?

Beth: I don’t know. We’re just so roped in by the media, I guess, and we have to be in the know about everything that happens. It’s so wild.

John: Isn’t this Jennifer’s, like, third marriage in the past couple years, or something? Isn’t she notorious for this kind of thing?

Beth: Totally. It’s kind of a joke.

John: So is Ben the victim here?

Beth: That’s hard to say. I don’t think I have enough information to make that call.

John: Well, we’ll have to see what happens in the upcoming months – if they, if they actually have that wedding or if they, they start being spotted with other celebrity boyfriend and girlfriends.

Discussion

Personally, I don’t think Ben and Jen have broken up. I think they want people to think that they’ve broken up so that they can get married in private, without hundreds of members of the press and paparazzi following their every move. Of course, I have no connection to Ben and Jen and I can only speculate – but it just seems like their relationship couldn’t end so quickly.
Anyway, I’ve got more important things to think about, and you probably do to :-)
