Rad is an adjective similar to "cool" that's used to describe anything.Use it like this:

"Wow! That was rad!", "The weather today is rad.", "Your new shoes are rad!"

jasonsimms United States	This band from Portland, Show Me the Pink, uses "rad" to mean alternative. They talk about Rad America, a more liberal country that exists inside and throughout the US. Instead of Thanksgiving, they have the Rad America Supper.

max's girlfriend United States	I like the use of "rad" to mean alternative! "Rad" is short for "radical" (in this usage it is an adjective meaning "extreme" or "far-out") which is also a wicked word to use instead of "cool."
