1. DO you mean like I could "GO FOR" some food right now? 2. "GO FOR" the goal? 3. Gopher the animal? <—Eh?
They sound pretty much the same huh. The first one means you would LIKE to have some food, or you want something. You do not exactly have to have food, but that is the most common way I have heard that phrase.
The second one is a little phrase people use to inspire someone; AIM for the thing you are wanting aka, the goal. That is another commonly used phrase in pep talks. (trying to cheer someone up)
This last one is random, but I guess it could be possible. A Gopher is a little animal that burrows in the ground. I'm guessing yoiu already know that. :)
