Rainforest in Chile - There Sure Are Many Rainforests Although They Are Threatened!

‘Reutlinger Nachrichten’ says that while in Urupapan (Mexico) the farming of avocados lies mostly in the hands of the mafia – meaning that by buying avocados from there you don’t support the local farmers, but instead criminals – in Petorca located to Chile the problem with avocados is different. This is one of the driest places in Chile and by growing avocados there wealthy enterprises literally take away what little water supplies farmers from this region have. Even water from wells belonging to local villages is taken away by these enterprises.

“Domradio” says that in La Araucania (Chile) extremist Mapuche burned down another three churches – one being protestant and the other being Catholic – for Christianophobic reasons.
