Love means different things to different people It’s a truth universally acknowledged that “it takes all sorts to make a world”, which means that all people are unique in their own way. What is more, we ,as individuals, tend to have our own opinions about everything…Fashion, lifestyles, scientific concepts are constantly changing due to people’s desire to express their opinions. The same goes for universal things like truth, friendship, hate, loyalty and, of course, love. The subject of love is one that has inspired poets, writers, those lucky in love and those who have been passed over by Cupid…Love has been defined as wise, silly, profound, bitter, funny…It seems as if each and one of us has a different understanding of love, or at least the attitude to love varies greatly from person to person.. It may be a surprising revelation to some of us, because love has traditionally been considered to be something that unites people.And yet, there’s no use denying the fact that love has as many definitions as there are human beings on this planet. And it doesn’t necessarily mean that love no longer unites people. It just means that love has different dimensions, different sides that reflect our understanding of life. I’ve heard somebody say that “love is friendship set on fire”. To my mind, it’s a brilliant thought. I mean, the good thing about friendship is that it gives you a feeling of security…it’s like a pair of old shoes that you’ve worn for a long time…you get this feeling of comfort and coziness…And if “love is friendship set on fire”, then ,it seems to me, love is really worth living for. Some cynics may say that love is something that makes one blind and prevents from thinking clearly. ”To be in love is to be in the state of perceptual anesthesia”, some people claim. But personally, I can’t let myself be cynical about love. Maybe I’m too young and inexperienced, but I believe it’s a great feeling. Some say that love is the true meaning of our life, that love is all it’s cracked up to be. They also say that “love is the master key that opens the gates of happiness”. I can’t but agree. Love is something that makes us tender ,and affectionate, and caring…It’s when another person’s needs become more important than yours and you don’t see it as a burden. It’s when you do your best to make each other’s lives somewhat easier in this troublesome world…Love is a feeling that makes you stronger and helps you get through a crisis. It’s something I can’t imagine my life without. what about you????what do you think about it???
People cannot live without music. They listen to music, dance to music or learn to play musical instruments. There is music everywhere: at home, in a concert hall, in the park, at the seaside, in the forest and even in the street.
Music is not a combination of pleasant sounds only. It is an art which reflects life. Music reflects people's ideas and emotions. In this world of ours, filled with conflicts, tragedies, joys and hopes, music strives to speak to people of what is most important, urgent and poignant. Music in the lives of different people is different: some compose music, others play music, and others only listen to it. A lot of people who cannot play any musical instrument love to listen to music either at home or at a con-cert. Different people like different kinds of music. You may prefer pop or rock music, country or folk music, classical music or jazz, but you certainly cannot think of a day without music.
As for me, I prefer Pop music. I have a lot of cassettes (CDs, records). I try to watch programmes dealing with it on TV and to go to the concerts as often as possible. My favourite singer is Christina Aguilera I think she is very talented. I can play an instrument (the piano). It is a great pleasure to be able to play an instrument and I like it a lot.

English is one of the official languages in the Irish Republic, Canada, the South African Republic. As a second language it is used in the former British and US colonies.It is the major international language for communication in such areas as science, technology, business and mass entertainment. English is one of the official languages of the United Nations Organization and other political organization. It is the language of the literature, education, modern music, international tourism.Russia is integrating into the world community and the problem of learning English for the purpose of communication is espicially urgent today. Learning a foreing language is not as easy thing. It is a long and slow process that takes a lot of time and patience. But to know English is absolutely necessary for every educated person, for every good specialist.It is well known that reading books in the original , listening to the BBC news, communicating with the English speaking people will help a lot. When learning a foreign language you learn the culture and history of the native speakers. One must work hard to learn any foreign language.
