A happpy Love story?
Once upon a time, there lived a guy and a girl. They fell in love and promised to be together until death does them apart. And they lived happily ever after. Ideally, our story should have started on these notes. But it doesn't. It starts like this:Once upon a time, there was this guy with a boy always lost. He liked to be confined within himself, had very few friends in his life. Its difficult to say why he was the way he was though he liked to be lonely. He was capable of being alone in the midst of a chaotic crowd like a stranger without roots , like a lonely star twinkling in a deserted horizon, like a drop of dew sitting in solitude on a leaf .Something was missing in his life.  Then He met Her, and everything changed... It was his first day in the college and he was trying his best to be at the most deserted corner. Then suddenly it seemed as if shecame out from the clouds and when he saw her, he was transfixed. She looked like the bright rays of sun from a cloudy sky, like the fragrance all around when the first drop of rain touches the sun baked soil. Lost in his own thoughts he heard a soft voice, "Excuse me.. could you please tell me.." and he knew that it could be her only. He turned to answer and found her talking to the person standing next to him. How badly he wished for her to have asked him!! He turned slowly and was looking at the ground and again came the soft voice, "Could you please..". This time she was asking him. He looked up to find her blue eyes looking at him. And he felt time had come to a standstill. He found it difficult to answer her!! His voice was refusing to come out!! She looked at him strangely and asked again.Regaining some control over his nerves he somehow replied. She thanked him, gave her a soft smile and turned back. Second year of college...In last one year, he had gained his old reputation which he had in school of a guy with brilliant brain, fullof great ideas but who stumbled when asked to express them. It was perhaps because his mind worked

faster than his ability to express. This hadn't done any good to him in other things either. He met her several times everyday. Whenever they crossed each other, she smiled, the same friendly soft dimpled smile. And he just blinked back nervously. Word were still a struggle. His feelings remained inside him Like dried colors which could have taken shape of a beautiful painting had they been put on canvas. Beautiful thoughts came. to his mind but as soon as he tried to pen them down,he ran out of words.

A Short story
*** THIS IS A WORK OF FICTION- Hope you like it Also Please comment on this***It was a sunny bright day and the sunlight fell direct over my face. After a long vacation 7 o’clock was very early. Any how nothing could make me angry that, It was the day of September 21st2003. This was the fateful day started my engineering career. I was fresh out of boy’s high school, I was under the impression that college is the place where the shackles of uniform, discipline and parental Guidance are broken and there is song, dance, fun, frolic and most importantly girls. Fate, it seems, had a different story written for me. Nevertheless, I got my wits going about again, tried to garner my enthusiasm and entered the college gates. The first day of class, I thought something was wrong. It felt like I was in a Boys convent School all the boys’ high school days haunted me again when all of a sudden a girl entered the class. That was when I realized that I had taken mechanical engineering,. How could I expect any girl in the class? Alas!! Again in typical Bollywood style - there was thunder and temple bells ringing in my heart and my dream of song, dance and more so - GIRLS, was fading and fading fast. As time passed, the girls whose site would have made the Ramsey brothers cringe started looking prettier (or maybe as they say, beggars can’t be Choosers). All I was left with hi’s and bye’s from girls from other branches. As computers were my only source of entertainment besides the antics of my friends, my interest in IT grew. Time had come for campus recruitments; IBM was the first company to come. Due credit must be given to the marketing strategy of IBM for sending in the “select” HR resources for recruitment. I immediately made-up my mind that IBM is where I want to be. The fortune gods started favoring me once again as the offer letter came and my location of joining was Bangalore. Often, in the nights, we guys would talk about how cool it would be to work in MNC thinking about women in office attire. My Orientation Day in IBM brought along with me a lot of expectations. I was on top of the world when I was among the first few resources in my batch to get into a project. The same world came crashing down and shattered the minute I was introduced to my team mates in the meeting session that we had. Why? The answer is obvious: hardly any girls! The feeling was mutual though, as I could see the faces of the old resources cringing at the site of two new male resources (myself and another batch mate) joining when obviously there was a dearth of capable resources in the project.(Read capable = female). I am sure my Team Leader must have got a few hiccups due to the curses from fellow member for getting two more male resources disrupting the sex ratio to an even greater extent. I am a keen observer of things and after a quick glance at the fairer sex in my team I came to the conclusion that out of them one was married, a few seemed elder to me and the remaining : well there were NONE, other than for this fair pretty boy I had mistook for a lady earlier. Life still goes on and now, as we have it, another one tied the knot and the yet “remaining few” is planning to do so. At times, I catch a glimpse of one of those elusive HR employees and then again I get about my work dreaming that one day the doors of my bay will operand that one person (persons will also do) my eyes are looking for will step in and open the doors of my heart.Till that moment comes, my search will continue and continue and continue…
